Fluke!

I had some time yesterday to give the fluke a shot. Tide was not optimal but was not going to give up a good looking morning. BIL and I left the dock by 7 and came in around 12. Tough picking to start but as the tide got moving, the fish started chewing. We ended up with 18 fish and 2 of those were plump 20 inch fish. Will call around later. Have a feeling the better fish bit yesterday afternoon after we left. Pink seemed to be the color.

Great!!! 1:9 keeper ratio, seems a bit better that last year's normal, but IIRC, that number drops as the season progresses...

A couple of my acquaintances caught the day before and the day after. Tide, Tide, Tide.......................

And learning how the boat drifts, etc. All the little nuances that I need a "reset". Still setting up drifts based on last years muscle memory, lol.

Anniversary weekend and I am out fishing!! Was not going to push my luck. I actually gave a time and was in and cleaned up before that deadline. And I am alive to tell the tale.
