got out this morning in search of bass. Ran east out of fire island inlet. Strong nw wind made the conditions less than ideal for spotting blow ups. Ran in about 30ft to ocean beach, stopping every once and a while to cast on bunker etc. Found some sand eels being chewed up by blues just east of ob in about 40-50ft of water, plenty of birds on them. Tried jigging but no bass. Nobody talking much on the radio. Looks like the rain and wind may have pushed the fish reported earlier in the week. Hopefully someone found some today and can share.

I'm sure they'll be found easily once the wind dies down. Tomorrow will be a zoo out there. Good luck.
