Today was the first day of blackfish with a reasonable wind prediction, & it showed. I got to the launch ramp while it was still dark, & their were already three empty trailers in the parking area, & both lanes of a two lane ramp were being used, happy to see that they were just about done & waisted no time as another boat pulled in behind me. Easy launch at half tide, & a pleasant ride east out to the grounds. Took a few less that productive drops while I waited for the ebb & ran a little east to Plum Island, where once the ebb started it was steady action with a solid limit to 5lbs until the tide ran too strong. By then the SW began to blow as predicted & it was time to go. A good opener.
