fished the outgoing at stradford shoal this afternoon from 330-730. Plenty of blues, mostly 1-5lb size. Some schoolie bass to 26" in the mix if you could get past the blues. No other species, porgie, sea bass etc. About 25 private boats and 4 or 5 charters out there...was a zoo.

Boat traffic was nuts.

Pretty sure the WICC tournament is going on this weekend. Heaviest Blue wins you $25,000, from the recent reports seems the best chances of catching a bluefish in the Sound at all is either the Middle Grounds or the South Fork (Orient). Hence the additional boat traffic. Never enjoyed fishing the Sound the weekend of this tourney, it was a good reason to catch up on chores around the house.
