I have been chasing a engine problem for about a month now with no avail outboards are 20 years old twin 200hp Evinrudes due to weight the only 4 strokes I can install are the new light weight Mercurys.I will be getting some quotes this week pray for me.?

I could be mistaken but doesn't yammie have 4 cylinder 4 stroke 200"s that are less weight than the older 6's??

Yes they do but they wont push my boat it is 10,000 pounds loaded.

Built in redundancy is nice (twin 200's). Would one 400 be cheaper than two 200's and lighter too?

I was shocked when I looked at outboard pricing. Good luck.

So just for clarification the weight issue is not the Weight of the motors themselves? It’s a matter of fitting twins that can push the weight of the boat?
If so, I misunderstood and thought you meant you needed lighter weight motors

Yes I need lighter weight motors but 4 cyl. engines would work to hard given the boat weight.
