Got out for a few hours today and found some good fishing off the beach. Throwing yo-zuri and SP minnow plugs under patches of birds and landed some spanish mackerel and cocktail blues. Top of the tide.

I caught a Spanish Mackerel outside of Jones years ago. I released mine since I didn't know much about them or how they would taste on the table.

Are they good to eat?

Really good eating. An oily fish but not like a bluefish. Very mild flavor.
