Well the anticipation for opening day for sea bass did not disappoint. Me and my boy got up bright and early and it appeared the reports for fog on eastern LI were accurate so we stuck home a bit longer to see what what happen. Headed to dock by 6:30 and found perfect conditions but evidence of fog to the north and east. Hit inlet just after 7 and visibility was fine. Lines in water and no problem finding Nice quality fish. Had our limit pretty quick while looking for some bigger fish. Plan was to switch to fluke but Fog came in fast and furious and visibility give or take 100’. Long slow ride home and by time all fish and boat cleaned it was noon.
