Had to wait out the fog this morning but finally got out.
We ran out S & E of VZ Bridge and found small blues working on baby sand eels.
Plain 007's on 12lb spinners did the trick. Blues were spitting up tiny sand eels all over the deck.
Nephews had fun. They love to jig bass & blues.
Later tried for some fluke at Coney Island, Gravesend Bay & the Islands. No Fluke but a few doggies.
We fished until 1:00-1:30 PM when a huge fog bank began to roll in from Sandy Hook.

I love the smaller blues. Fun on light tackle and good to eat too.

You're right. We bled out a few and the boys made fish tacos.
I stay away from their bigger cousins.
