hid from the easterly breeze this morning and managed a 19" out of four or five. (Also used a DIY drift sock to stay in the channel better.)
Most hit at the start of the outgo, two hours later nada, home by noon. No 15" weaks today at all.
Been using a 3/4 oz jig, powder painted white with crazy glued red eyes, a pink plastic skirt and a white Gulp grub. still some sea lettuce
but not a real problem anymore. Fresh fish in the air fryer again tonight !

How do you get that 3/4 oz jig to stay on the bottom? Tx

10 lb fireline, 15 lb leader, no teaser, spinning reel drops lure to bottom faster than conventional

Of course the majority of the channels I fish from my yak are between 12' and 20' deep, with some 30' holes.
