Hi. For years I would wade into the ocean barefooted to fish without a thought. I guess I got more concerned about this in recent years. The thought of stepping on a rusted hook or a used hypodermic needle changed my thinking. Has anyone had any experience with a short surf boot that works well keeping the sand out and protecting your feet. I would appreciate any help or recommendations.

Well let me tell ya barefoot, had a 2 inch gash onda foot some time ago, 10 stitches needed... fractured a bone in foot at a another time, too... had Sea Robin dorsal go through my boot on my budget waders... In other words, I’ll go barefoot ? when water temps permit... cellfish...
