How the fluking in J-Bay?

Been out a few times. Very disappointing to say the least. Always got keepers early on last two to three years the fishing just plain sucks. Lack of keepers and shorts too. Future not looking promising

Thanks for the reply I guess I'll fish Reynolds Channel again this week. Had decent action there with one keeper that the wife caught.

If you think about it Jamaica bay fishing has changed for the worse ever since Super Storm Sandy hit.Bait is almost non existent and crabs are gone.There are so many areas in the bay that always produced fish that are like fishing a desert now.

I agree. I think after the storm bays became polluted with gas oil dirty septic and other bad polluted stuff. Messing up oxygen and acidity of water

Also a lot of small pieces of structure that I had marked on my GPS no longer exist or are almost gone.

I have to disagree . Fished Reynolds Channel for over40 years and started fishing the bay 5 years ago when I started trailing my boat . I can say that some of the best fluke fishing I have ever had. In the last two years I put six DD fluke in the boat and many fish between 5-9lbs. Things do change and you have to search and never give up they are there.

Fished the bay again this morning almost no action 2 keepers one short 3 robins one or two hits besides what I mentioned.Sure looks like a repeat of last year.
