Smithtown Bay Action

I decided to run out to catch the flood tide in Smithtown Bay and I was rewarded with a constant pick of fluke working deeper than usual. We fished 30 plus fleet. I saw bait there, and the action was fast and furious. 4-inch white gulp on white bucktails saw the best results. Most were shorts but we did get 4 keepers to 23-inches and countless shorts and surprisingly just 1 Robbin. Great 4 hours of fishing! I'm not getting to excited as this happened last year and then the bottom dropped out. Hopefully we will see that second body of fish.
