Port Jeff fluke

Went out yesterday with my younger son, was not expecting fog, rain and cold damp weather.
We headed over to Port Jeff, my intent was to troll for bass, but my son wanted to fish for fluke.
So, we drifted on the incoming tide, drift was good but not the fluking, my son managed a nice 20 inch keeper.
Lots of boats out there and saw one boat keeping small fluke, I took picks of the boat and his reg and turned him into the DEC, will see if anything comes of it.
I was wet miserable and wanted to just go back in, stuck it out till 5pm and headed back in.
I caught 6 shorts to 17", my son dropped a real nice fish at the boat, had many shorts, it's really discouraging, but I'm hoping with the weather being so far behind that
it will pick up in the next couple of weeks.
Tight Lines.

I was wondering when you were going to make an asinine remark, there were teens on the boat, everything that came over the side went into a red 5 gallon pail , yea, he was a commercial pin hooker alright, now that there's no political thread, your gonna start your bs on other threads, stick to what you know best, NOTHING !

still he doesn't know and it's hard to tell the size of a fish being pulled up on someones else's boat from a distance. I was on a boat once that was commercial pinhooking fluke and we got boarded because someone dropped a dime because they didn't know what they were seeing. No violation found but it's a PIA getting shutdown for half an hour. I've been involved in 4 boardings by the DEC and never amounted to anything.
