I try to keep politics off this board, but I salute this dude's "In your face" attitude towards his crappy neighbors.
Seems that he had a "Trump 2020" flag flying on his house's back deck, and that's not allowed in his development. So, he took down the flag alright, but then had his boat wrapped as seen in the vid.
I also like the National Anthem playing through the boat's sound system - nice final touch. Open up the volume on your speakers, and please stand and take off your hat!
Would I feel the same way if it was a "Biden 2020" boat wrap? Meh, probably, but even more ridiculous.
Must be nice to have a huge Yellowfin and just go out and have a few thousand in custom wrap applied to it. "F/U money" really is a thing, after all. . .

I like viewing stupid human tricks in less dangerous situations. I've enjoyed hours of comedy from a lawn chair at the Mt Sinai boat launch on a Sunday afternoon...
My parents used to do that at Mill Dam ramp. Two lawn chairs, and a red and white igloo flip top cooler with beverages. Too funny !

Sorry but he just looks like an obnoxious asshole to me?♂️
But if he was flying an Obama flag he'd be a bastion of patriotism and the first amendment, right? 🙄
The obnoxious @$$hole would be the pantywaist that called the HOA on the guy simply because they couldn't handle seeing something they didn't like, instead of being a real American and supporting somebody's right to their viewpoint even if they disagree with it.

Easy guys, I posted this thread to be about absurd but funny over-reaction, not political point-making. The internet blew up about this over the weekend.
i just thought it was funny as hell.

As someone who has to deal with a HOA - I salute his cojones!
OY, don't get me started on HOAs, I've been on both sides of the fence. Problem with HOAs more than anything are the covenants which are set up by the developer. Our original covenants as set up by the developer who wanted a higher class of housing, specified only wood or brick siding on dwellings, to keep out vinyl and aluminum siding. I wanted to use the then newfangled concrete/Kevlar mesh "Hardy Board" stuff so I had to get everyone to agree to a change in the covenants and hire a lawyer, at my cost, to get them changed. Guess what? Every house put up after mine has used Hardy Board, at least they all say "Thanks" to me.
When the previous HOA "President for Life" moved, I was the only full-time resident left and by popular acclamation, was assigned to the Presidency. Now I get the "
To make matters worse, the developer still owns a lot and he's very quick to think he can override anything he thinks is wrong, which means I've got to spend a couple of hours convincing he's wrong per the covenants he wrote with an attorney.
Case in point, he comes over on a Sunday morning to accuse the HOA Board of ignoring the ROW stipulations since a certain homeowner had just put up some hemlocks on what he believed to be the ROW on the road leading to the HOA dock. Mind you, he built the road and had the dock put in. So I go down to the area, look for the surveyor pins and validate that the landscaping was NOT on the ROW. The developer assumed the dock was centered on the road, but it was in fact, offset, sitting on the edge of the ROW.
I would have loved to have stuffed that fact down his throat, but I let the Chair of the Road Committee settle it with him.
