A couple of unofficial 400# + fish have been caught in the last 4 yrs, my biggest was 179 caught on the Sunbeam out of Niantic ct. back in the mid 90's, 18 yellowfin were boated that trip, ranging from 145 to 225, there were 8 fish on at one time, all were brought on board, a friend of mine battled a 165 lb for over 2 hrs on 50lb test, he borrowed one of my setups which he thought had 80 lb test. i miss those days for sure.
