March date is a date to for the states to have finalized and implemented the rules, not a coastwide season beginning date. Individual states will set their state's seasons.

Here's an unsubstantiated claim for the NJ CE proposal. It's just so nuts, makes you think it's true considering the state that's proposing it...

New Jersey is looking to have a new size limit of 24-28 or 29″ with the bonus tag going to a big fish, either 35″ or 43″ minimum.

what is the bag limit and how many trophy tags do you get ?

I personally would love to see that slot limit and a couple of pay for trophy tags. 50 lb stripers do not make much of a tasty meal, and produce a lot of roe.
