Just irks me that comms. get a head start and usually mop up the bay spots before rec season opens!Watched a boat the other day while fluke fishing. They were definitely into blackfish anchored tight to the bridge and they had fish coming over the rail.
Looking forward to toggin!

Like a vacuum cleaner cleaning up. Season opens and the "recs" after setting up their boats, securing bait, fuel, and TIME, catch a few shorts and we are supposed to be "thankful".

It's frustrating but we successfully have kept them at a 25 fish trip limit. I was at the table for that bill. And the beauty is that it's legislation not regulation. I hear whispers every year about the pressure to increase it but it's rough getting a bill discussed, let alone passed.

Small spots do not replenish very quickly, especially blackfish.
