So these three guys got lost in the fog yesterday, i'm guessing they didn't have any GPS since it was a 10 foot aluminium boat but instead of posting on Facebook they could have downloaded an app and found their way

Police rescue three fishermen lost in dense fog on Long Island Sound off Riverhead | RiverheadLOCAL

Anyway, I have a few apps on my cell phone just in case my GPS or radio fails, these Apps are all free- GPS boat, US Coast Guard, Boat US, NOAA, Pocket Ranger, Compass and Tides near me.

So what Apps do you have that are good?

Only the Sea Tow app for me, but I also have the Flashlight app which has a compass on it. That would have helped those guys out.

I also have Life360 to track my son's (and wifes) phones. If they had that, that would have helped those guys too. I was fishing last week and my wife sent me a text about being by the Big Light in Greenport. She knew because of the app.

radarscope, one of the very few apps I actually subscribe to

I used to have Navionics, but wasn't using it enough to justify the subscription

Dom, what app do you use for tides?
