Striped Bass Cooperative Angler Logbook Program - Are you participating?

One issue facing saltwater anglers is the fact that it's up to us to figure out what the regs are. I get that we deal with that daily, having to know speed limits and other laws. But in the never ever ending changing rules, we need to make sure we know the CURRENT regulations. I think the NYSDEC needs to update how they get the word out on things. For example, only 124 anglers participate in the Striped Bass Cooperative Angler Logbook program. It's an online service where you can log your striped bass fishing experiences to help in data collection on the fishery.

Here's a link to the online logbook

Im all for this. We’re often the first group to grumble about changes in the regs but often do very little when it comes to data collection, tagging, etc. This may be a great way to get involved.
