At this meeting, ABTA will discuss current and upcoming issues of importance to our fishery. There are several issues that can deeply and negatively affect our fishery and, for this reason, it is extremely important that fishermen attend. What are the "critical issues" Don???

I can't explain them at this time because I'm waiting for clearence from Rich or ABTA But i would guess it may have something to do with this. . Amendment 13 to the Highly Migratory Species Fishery Management Plan (FMP) .
This is a new amendment, and the regulatory process has not yet begun. The process will
begin at the Spring 2019 AP meeting in which we are expected to receive a scoping
document. Normally, regulatory amendments require two years to final rule. This
amendment is expected to take a bit longer (2021?)

If you look that up you will see a lot of proposed changes in our fisheries. (Tuna) Some ok some Not all good
