Do you keep a fishing log? Is it something you just enter in MS Word or Excel or do you use an online log? Be interested in what you guys use.

BoatGuy for sure keep a log. Keep a small calendar book on your boat and write down everything. Tide, hours fished ,#s ,wind, drift, moon etc. Write down what u caught colors or baits u caught on ,water temps, weather, speed of drift pretty much all u need so a chimpanzee could repeat the trip....In a few years u will have built knowledge u could not buy in a store.....

I just use an excel spreadsheet I made. A couple of years ago I found the logbook that I had been given as a gift when I had my first boat in the late 70s to mid 80s. Used to catch blackfish at the Kismet reef, dozens and dozens of winter flounder, etc. that logbook is totally useless now. the log that I kept and keep with my current boat when it was new from '99 to 2011 or so is pretty useless as well. It seems in my area everything after Sandy is a new era. I do occasionally look at a log from three or four years back but in terms of fishing. I think my log is more useful regarding maintenance and repairs on the boat then it is for fishing, despite listing the tide and current, wind, weather, fish caught and on what.
