Finally picked up the Hurricane Skimmer 128 !

Probably another month before I get it and my feet wet. Progress on the accessories today. The people at Hurricane Aquasports in NC definitely upgraded from the Phoenix I had with this Skimmer model. Finally incorporated hard handles, paddle holder, adjustable seat, and more useable hatches. Curious as to how the knife-like bow on this one cuts through the chop compared to the more rounded bow I had. Holding off on mounting the anchor trolley and some "cats eyes", maybe until after I do get 'er wet. Much more leg room on this model, even though its 16" shorter than the Phoenix I had. I actually had to move the foot stops in, instead of extending them all the way out. I will miss the water bottle holder I had on the seat of the Phoenix, but that's a good amount of change I didn't have to pony up on the Skimmer (its seat is included.)
Thanks again to Richie33 and Rick67 for some sound advice well before I started cutting holes.
Putting on the Scotty was actually the easiest task I accomplished today, with the mounting plate easily reached with left hand through the bow hatch while right hand wielded a phillips. Used a little hole saw (?) on my Dewalt cordless to cut the holes for the Ram flushmount for the safety flag, and the two flush-mount rod-holders. I angled them a bit with a file-like drill bit. I probably would have bought an angler version if Hurricane offered it, but I saved some bucks and enjoyed the DIY option today. Just wish I was neater with the Goop, lol.

Thanks. Can't help myself but I just wanted to continue the streamlined look with all but the Scotty flush. I am a true fair weather yakker so it will be a while before I try this hull which allegedly was designed by some bigshot yacht designer. Lydia of Hurricane got back to me in like 5 minutes with advice about mounting the anchor trolley.

so far- I broke off a mandrill in my rivet gun or I would have completely finished my fishing mods. good ole you tube. didn't know that all you had to do was hold the rivet tool upside down and whack it on the sidewalk to free up the broken thing.
