This is pretty wild. The boat can crab towards the dock by pointing the outboards in different directions and controlling the throttles.

True. Much like self-driving cars I'm sure it's a technology who's time is coming.

And much like self-driving cars, when they are available they probably should be mandatory for some people.

well why not?

We have GPS that'll take the boat to whatever waypoint you wanna go to & all the captain has to do is keep an eye out for obstacles in front of him & the boat does the work. So why not self docking vessels?
