Do the pros use them? I saw a few on Amazon from just a few dollars each to over $50.00. Do you have any recommendations for the amateur fish cutter?
Butcher Gloves

It’s mandatory where I work that if you have a knive in one hand, you must have a cut glove on the other. They issue the one that are similar to the uncle ul that are shown with your link. They do work well against cutting or knicking yourself but don’t protect well from sticking the point of knive like the stainless steel. I where a latex glove underneath and over it to keep it clean as possible.35 years
35 years35 years of butchering and fileting only cut myself once and Jack Daniels was involved
I bought a cheapo version of one of these gloves last year. I wore it on my left hand while cleaning fish and it definitely prevented a few cuts. It also allowed me to clean a little faster as there was less chance of nicking a finger.Gonna order these Thanks

I’ve been wearing basic knit beige gloves for years when I filet. Usually I wear a nitrile glove underneath. Never cut myself using this method. When that cotton glove gets wet it is tough to slice through. I keep my filet knives sharp, but not overly sharp. I find it hard to cut fish with an overly sharp knife. Been cutting fish this way for 18+ years.Porgy bones can cause a very nasty infection
Porgy bones can cause a very nasty infectionI hear that. A lot of bones will do the same for that matter. Not all cut gloves protect from punctures as well.
