Hi,

Hopefully we have some stock car fans here to discuss present day racing. My year was made when Joey Logano won the 2018 Championship. Have been rooting for him since he came up over 10 years ago. Should be an interesting 2019 with new model cars with more down force and a lot less horse power.

I know I am long in the tooth but I hope there are still a few fans left over from the 1950's who went to the Freeport Race Track.

That is an interesting selection Joe.

I usually root for 3, 4 or 5 drivers at a time. 1 old, 1 young, 1 middle experience and a mixture. This way when my favorite goes out I move along the pecking order. NASCAR is getting rid of the high priced older drivers it seems and bringing in the cheaper younger drivers. These young drivers have lots of experience.

These days I root for Logano, Blaney, Elliot, Bryon, Bowman. All my older drivers are gone.

Hi,

Can't wait to see how the new Mustangs will drive with less HP and the new aero package.

My son does ceramic coatings on cars here on LI and he went and did a few of Joey's cars down in NC. He said he was a really nice guy.

HI Joe,

Feb. 10 is the Clash at 3pm, a tune up practice race. Feb.14 are the Duals, 7 and 9 pm qualifiers for the 500. All 3 races on FS1. Have you noticed how many young guys are now in the seats. They cost less and NASCAR has gotten too expensive and the stands are not full like they were in the past.

It's a ceramic product that avoids the need of waxing for up to 3-years. It really is amazing. And yes it was for a few of his private collection autos.

hi,

Did you see that Ricky Craven is now part of FOX NASCAR coverage. Use to like listening to him when I would catch him on ESPN.

Would be nice to see Suarez blossom on Smokes team after being dumped by Joe Gibbs.

Got rid of Premium Cable, too bloody expensive, so I will give You Tube try. Am looking forward to seeing how these new cars perform with reduced horse power.

Hi,

I looked into APS and stuff. To have NBCSN and FOX1 would cost as much as Optimum. For me it is all about saving money. Tired of paying Optimum for zillions of channels that I don't watch. Besides the most of the shows content isn't worth watching. Am doing pretty good with Netflex and You Tube.

Hi,

Can't come soon enough. I usually have 4 or 5 drivers that I root for during the course of the season. It is rare that all of them get wrecked in the same race so I always have someone to root for. I would always have an older driver, a young/new driver and another that was just coming into his own. These days #1 is Joey and the #22 team. Then Blaney and the #12. Like Bowman in the 88 and Byron in the #24.

Let's go racing!!!
