Amazon.com : Rubber Fishing Net with Telescoping Handle - Silicone Fish Nets for Fishing, Aluminum Alloy Landing Net, Telescoping Handle and Rubber Net, Maximum Load 20 Pounds : Sports & Outdoors Got it three weeks ago with 20% off. While it is a little on the heavy side, it telescoped to the perfect length for my kayak endeavors. But best of all is the rubber net. I fish a bucktail with a teaser above it and for years would literally spend a few minutes after each netted fish untangling the hooks from those mono or nylon nets. Four fluke worthy of netting in the past three weeks and not a snag !

not often enough ! But it is virtually snagproof at least. Wish the hoop was a little wider but 99% of the fluke I catch won't challenge it, lol.

I first used one on Lep's boat and went out and bought one. They are great. Just make sure you have a gaff handy for the ones that don't fit ๐Ÿ™‚

even the 26" I caught two weeks ago fit (just !) but I really adhere to my "bare bones" mantra kayak fishing. (No bicycle pedals, no electronics except a cell phone, no unnecessary "stabilizers", no rudder, nothing but Gulp! or a livelined snapper for bait.) I may not catch much most days but I definitely give the quarry a fighting chance, lol !

Is it full rubber, or rubber coated netting? I have the latter and find it "less sticky".

Pretty sure its full rubber. Hasn't gotten sticky yet. Of course in my case it is only exposed to the sun from about 7:30 AM to 11 or 11:30 AM at the latest. Unfortunately it has also only been dunked four times, lol. I just kayak fish in the morning.

Sorry, used the sticky metaphor regarding tangles on a bucktail, clips, teaser hook, swivel, etc.

Oh. No, I use what was known on the old website as a "Lep rig" (thanks again Pete) with a dressed lead bucktail and a Gulp! and a dressed hook and Gulp! teaser 15" above it on a dropper loop. The leader they are on has a barrel swivel and that is clipped to a breakway "paper clip" tied to the braid. Fish and the rig easily come out with no snagging at all, at least so far. Hopefully next late spring when I typically catch more fish I will see no change. Far too many days before I got this net saw me drift 200 yards before untangling the whole mess.
