Hello All,
First I'd like to thank everyone for helping make the site a success as we go through our growth stage. We are now averaging over 3k visits a day now, which is very impressive.
I have been meaning to make up a list of guidelines for mods to go by, but it's crunch time for getting the site ready so it may take a bit longer than I hoped.
For now, here are a few guidelines to go by:
All moderator recommendations should be made on this board. No sense in bringing everyone else into it. In some cases, we will want user feedback, but any site policy or design/content/event or related topics started by moderators should begin here.
Also, it''s only natural that we will have times where mods will disagree on something. You know like me and Roccus :) Lets always keep it civil out there. Feel free to start a thread cursing each other out in here :)
The single most divisive issue will be spot burning. That phrase was literally coined on Noreast and I've already received a number of the emails on the subject. When our reports section is developed we will have the ability to edit those reports. We will give the user the ease of sharing what they want to whoever they have in their own group.
I do want to have a very strict policy on trolls. If the person is rude they need to be straightened out or banned. I want anglers to feel comfortable here so no catch and release on trolls and no sanctuary toll boards.
You all have the ability to ban a user from your board. If you think someone needs to be site banned please let cany know and he will deal with it. You also have the ability to put a user in moderation mode. I'm not sure how to do it so please direct those questions to the General
:)
I'm sure some of you have things you'd like seen in the code of conduct so let's just use this thread for you to add your input and I can put it together once we're ready.
Thanks again all!
Moderator's Code of Conduct

Gee George we don't disagree that often, but as you said, we can agree to disagree and that is the definition of "Gentlemanly Conduct." I won't elaborate on the fact that the boorish behaviors of others has started you to rethink your position... ;)
I LOVE that you want a user to decide whether or not he wants to divulge particular info to those he wants to. Here, I'll start it off with my absolutely, No-Miss striper spot.
Start fishing 3 three hours into the outgoing, casting poppers towards the island, across the rip that sets up behind some rocks at 43ยฐ53'58.36" N, 69ยฐ30'50.32"W.
BTW, I'd be happy to moderate reports if you need a volunteer.

Thanks for your secret spot! Also what we do is fine, I do like that we've agreed to disagree at times.

Correct, but I almost always click on "What's New" and "New Posts" every time I come on nyangler.com. Maybe its the way I have my "favorites" set up. Wader ? Wader ? Beuller ? Beuller ?
I just checked. I open to "Forums." and I usually check "New threads" as well as I feel I need to check the five or six boards that I mod all the time.
