Hung several 6 panel doors this winter , those old Luan doors were awfully tired , new moulding too , finally bought a air nailer , what a pleasure

Oh God, she wants all the doors changed too.

I dont think I have skills for that, will need to “call the guy”
7 doors.
Wonder what the cost for that will be.

Not a pro door hanger , seems like it should be easy , it was a pain in the butt to keep things somewhat squared off , I made sure she 'helped' so might come to appreciate my efforts .......................

You're my idol, lasting through 15 years of "gentle reminders". I would have hired someone by year 4...

If you have a belt sander (NOT any Sears garbage !!) hanging the doors wasn't that bad. Cutting out the door hinge slots was the worst part. But with 68 year old shoulders, I am now "calling the guy."

Hung the entire door, frame and all , solid door not cored .......... Even primed they soak up a lot of paint ..........
Trained the wife many years ago , NO nagging allowed , just gentle reminders now and then .............

Not really "Honey Dew", but close enough. DW tells me the garage door opener light is on last night. Pop my head into the garage and turn it off using the "Light" button on the wall-mounted door opener controller and didn't give it a second thought. This morning hit the switch to open the door and NADA!!! All the remotes worked fine so I knew it had to be something with the wall-mounted switch. Took it off and shorted the 2 wires and door opened/closed fine so now I knew it was limited to the wall switch.

The unit is a LiftMaster so I called their 800 number and while I was on hold I started reading website comments regarding this switch, their 888LM, and it turns out within the month of April there were 5 posts about the switch failing, but for these poor souls, it failed by just randomly opening the garage door. So when the Tech Support guy answers the phone, I say, "Hi!! I seem to have one of those failing 888LM!" "Oh, I'm so sorry! What's your address so I can send you out a new one ASAP?"

Sometimes calls to support go incredibly quickly with no haggling. Maybe I should go and buy a MegaMillions ticket...

That be the one Mike. Mine said manufactured in 2013, but I think I replaced it in 2014, replacing an older model that had it's "Up/Down" button's plastic tab break off. This one drove the garage door we use the most. The other bay still has the original opener on it, now going on 10 years old.

Mine will be a year old in August so I guess I’m good for now
