I need a new stove/oven. Wanna go gas (propane - no gas lines here).

Larry, don't go Viking or other top end stuff. They cost 2X the GE Profile and similar ones, but don't last 2X longer. Figure you'll have to replace n 15-20 years so save the cash until then.
I have the propane 5 burner cooktop and an electric in-wall Microwave/Oven combo. Only problem was me frying the electric ignition components when had a serious overboil. I was easily able to find and the necessary parts on line.
Funny story - when a neighbor dropped by to see the house just after completion she commented, "No Viking stuff I hope." When we said "No" she said, "Oh tank God!! They still don't have mine working correctly and we've been in the house 8 years!!"

was looking at GE, Samsung & LG
Last two obviously at the higher end of the price range. Does the higher cost get you a better product?
All three seem to have good ratings.
That's kinda my dilemma. If I have to replace what I have - I want it to be the last time I have to do that.
Thought that possibly someone on here might have some experience with them. You seem to be recommending GE. Don't need the overhead microwave. Like the black stainless steel also.

That was my point, spending big $$ doesn't necessarily mean they'll last longer. Seems that all appliances have a planned obsolescence lifetime that's around the same so if you spend 1/2 the money, you can buy two and get two lifetimes.
All three you mentioned are good options, I just don't suggest the really high end like Viking, Sub-Zero, etc. These can be so expensive that instead of tossing when they're starting to really give you problems, you end up with $$$ repair bills. It's a quick decision when the service guys want $1000 to fix your $2500, 10 year old fridge...
FYI, you can buy single or double GE wall electric Profile oven units. We just wanted the microwave one to save counter space.
