Got out Saturday and Sunday in the western sound, fishing in the kayak. Great light tackle fishing for Schoolies up to the mid 20'' range. A little spread out at times but once in a while you run into the mother lode.

Nassau/Queens West, the temperature readings come from a the transducer which sits in the bottom of the kayak.
The water is warming up nicely, and there seems to be a decent amount of bait around.
I think the table is set for a nice spring run. I stopped by Jack’s yesterday to shoot the breeze. Someone I know picked up a 27lber late last week.

Everything I'm hearing sure sounds like things are setting up to see a banner spring run of bass.
Thanks for the post (y)
