Green Island Access Area - Fluke :-)

[SIZE=5][FONT=arial]Since the NJ Fluke opener isn't until 24-May and I've been jonesin' for some head-shakes, I joined my buddy to fish the NY opener last Saturday in the rain. [/FONT][/SIZE]
Unfortunately his boat was still in dry-dock so we had to fish from shore - no problem. There's a new park/pier under the second Wantaugh Bridge that we had to ourselves Saturday morning. It allows you to fish both East & West of the bridge and it's a short cast to the channel. Overhang from bridge kept us dry

The water was cold (51*) but the Fluke (& Sea Robins) were there. Had 5 or so shorts and I actually got one keeper (released). Fish came up ice cold. You need a yearly parking permit there.
