I love my Ring doorbell. I had several instances where I was waiting for a work related delivery and was able to see it get delivered. Also, I enjoy keeping an eye on my property.

You can hardwire it or charge it like a battery. Each one has both options built it. I use the battery option and charge it once every other month.

I guess it's not so bad since they can only see outside your house

I can't believe that these companies just keep doing it. The tech is great, in fact my cameras ID'd someone breaking into cars. But they are begging for Gov't regulation when they could still easily avoid it. It's like they're asking for it.

With that said it's a great product that I'd rather not live without.

I'm going to wait, but not too long. The technology is rapidly changing. In a year or so there I think I'll be happy with a system (doorbells, cameras ect.) enough where I'll give up my current home alarm system.

Way cheaper. $150 all in. I think I pay $1 a month for extra storage.

is there that much crime up there these days that you guys need something like that? Or is this just some cool toy that you feel ya gotta have?
I don't recall ever feeling like I need something like that when I lived up there.

Heck.

Down here 90% of the time my doors aren't even locked.
