Took a ride thru the Shinnecock canal and into peconic yesterday with my son to get in on the porgy action. Found the fleet and anchored up and it was game on. We stopped at 25 which is more than enough. Good mix of sizes. No monsters but many over 15” in the mix.

Was planning on heading to the lawns and try for fluke but we had a late start from the dock and by time we were ready to to switch over the WSW wind came up and we knew we had a long bumpy ride back to shinnecock

A great day with my boy and successful first real trip of the season

Way to go, Mitch. You made the right choice as the Fluke fishing in the Peconics still leaves a lot to be desired.

Thanks for the advice last week that got me on track for a memorable day with my son! I was having VHF issues and unable to give you a shout out and figured you were busy running your trips!
