Picked up a pint of clams on my way to the cars and coffee car show they have every Sunday. Last Sunday I saw lots of good size blowfish at the pier and nobody fishing. So I figured I would catch a few for lunch today.
Wrong tide gusty winds and whitecaps sent me home with a empty bucket. But I see see 3-4 flounder landed with one fat keeper.

If they are yellowtails and 11" minimum, the season is always open. And those at Oak Beach and the Thumb have been... although few.

real yellow tail flounders inshore are extremely rare the yellow edged flounders that you catch some times in the bays are regular winter flounders that get a yellow edge on their white side. Two totally different fish
