Poll: Should Fish Talk be allowed in the Lounge ?

+1, Can’t see y we shouldn’t be able to share some of the days catch... cellfish...

Since this is a new site and undergoing changes, maybe the old rule of no fish talk in the lounge needs to be modified to reflect changing times. What's your thoughts ?

What do We talk about when we are "Lounging" :giggle: Some of us have limited time so may not get the chance to go through other threads. :eek: Besides, no one would complain if you went to "Surf fishing" and talked about your lovely dinner at so in sow's. Ok now as it's the NY Anglers i wouldn't expect folks to talk about anything BUT fishing. (Oh and Mermaids). The world is Full of sites to "Lounge in" Time is to short, lets be able to say "I got a fat one today":p

Agreed, it's nice to elaborate on "The Fat One" that you had today was a fish, Mermaid or blunt...

polls have no weight on what owners/management allow or don't allow on the site...so what's the dif?

I see no problem with fish talk in the longe. For those of us who actually fish 3-6 times a week it what we talk about when we 'lounge' around. :rolleyes:

I'm not saying post reports (I pretty much gave up posting reports a few years ago:p) or go into finite detail, but fishing is what brought (most of) us together in the first place aint' it :rolleyes:

Yesterday was a good example. I went fishing for a couple of hours in the morning. Quick trip, just to test something out that I'm not allowed to discuss here:rolleyes: :rolleyes:

When I got back to the dock I met a couple of guys. We pulled a couple boats, took them to get gas, re-splashed, then sat aboard one boat in the slip for a couple of hours. We were just talking, and not that we focused on fishing, but it came up quite a few times. I even got to discuss the thing I'm not allowed to discuss here:rolleyes:

We are (supposedly) fishermen aren't we?

I don't see it as a problem as long as it's Lounge-like. i.e. the fishes vs B.S.s about fishing thread. Obviously we have places for reports or tackle questions etc.

Heaven forbid we actually discuss fishing on a fishing site instead of politics, TV shows or the Truman Show conversation that takes up most of the bandwidth. :rolleyes:
