Captain Dave reports from the Viking Star a decent day drifting around the Montauk Lighthouse. A good mix of large to Jumbo Porgies, Sea Bass and quite a few Fluke. Some quality Fluke were landed. A lot of Sea Bass shorts were caught and released unharmed, but almost everyone got their limit of Sea Bass keepers. The largest Sea Bass was 4 1/2 pounds and many over 4 pounds were taken home. The boat was crowded today with experienced and amateur fishermen resulting in a few tangles. Pool winners were Jeff Greenbaum of Scarsdale, NY with a 3 3/4 pound Scup and Roy Shaw of Brooklyn, NY with an 8 pound Fluke.
