Took a ride today with The Admiral to give the engine the old Italian Tuneup, running her at high RPMs for more than 3 minutes. Happened by one of my shallow inshore spots that was outside of my bay and gave it the once over with the fish finder running.
Looked quite fishy so I dropped a 7 oz jig and BAM, this 9 lb bacala decided the teaser looked like a tasty treat. Much nicer bringing it up from 70 ft instead of the 350 I was fishing earlier on Sunday. Well I wanted to stay longer, but SWMBO was feeling the ocean motion of the 4 ft Humberto swells so I had to call it quits. Will be back tomorrow if the weather cooperates...
