ROCK AND ROLL BLACKFISH OPENING DAY LIMIT!!

Please see a photo of co-captain Bob Prinzo. With gale warning NE winds 20 to 25 kt, we headed out with low expectations.
In 2 hours of fishing we caught 18 fish and limited out with 6 keepers. Not bad when you consider last year we needed to put 25 fish on the boat for every keeper. Now, without burning my spots, I will suggest that you look for structure in shallow areas 20 feet or less. We used green crabs and the bite was instantaneous when we got on the structure. Fish we're caught in the Huntington Bay area. The sound was unfishable. Some people may disagree with me but I use fluorocarbon leaders on the hooks and on my braid for its invisibility. Many will argue it makes no difference.
I cannot emphasize enough that you need to put your boat on structure and KEEP it there. If you swing off the structure (as we did today since I was too lazy to put out 2 anchors) your bite will be periodic as you swing over the structure.
Feel free to contact with any questions.
Best two you all

I like to report as informatively as I can without burning spots. It's nit easy but I think that people should report something that other anglers can use to catch fish....not simply to advertise
