weekend update

Finally got to take our greencrabs for a swim gave the blackfish a try on monday otos mattituck 3 of us ended up with 8 keepers out of 15 to 20 blackfish plua assorted scup and small seabass kept 5 in the box did not need my 3 .Still have plenty of striped bass in the fridge from sunday the bass were pretty thick just south of moriches and a wee bit west spent 5 hours in constant fish there is some big ones in this bunch had a couple to 30 to 35 lbs 3of us kept our limit let the big girls go we had our fish in the box by then.All on jigs, HEY fire island get ready these fish should be there by today! My son decided to stick with the bass on monday and had them again same fish from schoolies to 30+pounds.And thats well over 100 bass in two days and NOT ONE bluefish ? strange
