Fishing the Long Island Sound and sometimes Moriches for Fluke. Anyone use these with any success?

Most of my teasers are the usual hair type. So, just asking. Also, do you feel they work better in the begining of the season (May / June) or any time?

Never heard of them before. I did pick up some Squidtrex to try for an upcoming BSB trip.

I have a friend that used to put these on his long leader up ahead of his strip bait. That was years ago, before everyone switched over to the bucktail jigging thing. I guess they would probably still work, but I wouldn't go out of my way to swap my GULP! baits for these.

Ditto Lep.

They do work on Sea Bass and cod rigs.

Didn't get a chance to try them. Trip was cancelled due to weather.

Not sure about that manufacturer, but they look like something I often use not as the teaser but on the lower of a high-low rig, coupled with bait and sometimes add a 6” Gulp grub. Had good success on the Nantucket Shoals using a rig like that.

I found some when I was at Trophy Tackle. Cheap enough. Always looking to try something new.
