The excellent North Fork Tog fishing continued this past weekend with a couple of solid crew trips. Unfortunately, one of the great frustrations in running a charter business is getting the nice weather days to coincide with the days my customers can fish.
I had trips planned for both Friday and Sunday and a 3 day holiday weekend to work with. Sadly, the wind blew hard on both days the full crews wanted to fish forcing me to have to cancel both of those trips. Meanwhile, the weather was very nice on both Saturday and Monday with both of those outings producing limit plus catches (ORL) to 6#, breaking off a few larger fish, and enjoying consistent action throughout the day on drops ranging from CT out to Fishers.
Having the ability to be a bit flexible with your fishing days at this time of year is always the key to really cashing in. I sure hope that my groups for next weekend are more fortunate when it comes to the weather conditions.
I still have the weekend of 11/23,24 open as well as several weekdays, which are usually when the weather seems to be the best. Don't be afraid to call me, even at the last minute, if you see a weather window open up.
