I wanted to thank you guys for all of your support this year. I was hoping to have some kind of a holiday celebration but sadly life got in the way.
My Father, a 92 year old, WW2 veteran, passed away this afternoon. He suffered a fall, broke his hip, and before I knew it he was gone. He introduced me to fishing and I will always have that.
I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a great holiday season and thank you all so much for everything.
Thank you all for your support. And the passing of my father

My condolences George. That he was a member of our greatest generation had to be a source of pride for both of you. Those WWII vets were true American bad-asses. R.I.P.

Thanks all. He truly was a great guy, and although he lived to be 92 I feel he was taken to soon. This is the first time I'm checking in for a while as I deal with being the executor of the Will. So between being his health proxy having to make some tough decisions, then the funeral, and now this Will nightmare, I've been highly stressed. He wasn't even buried and people were asking what they were getting as inheritance. They act like I wrote the damn thing. I didn't even have a copy of it yet.
I've been a small business owner since i first started working but I have never seen so much greed in my life. I have yet to find time to grieve.
Earlier I mentioned my dad was taken too soon and I truly believe it. When we arrived at the hospital he was in pain, and we were conversing just fine. When he returned from imaging he looked like he was spaced out and when I spoke with him I got no response. After pointing it out to the nurse she tried to get him to respond and then they started scrambling and called for narcan. They gave him 2 shots of it and got him stable but he never spoke again. He passed 2 days later without ever uttering another word. Narcan is used for opioid overdoses, and I have no doubt that they over medicated him.
Thanks for allowing me to vent here and for holding the fort down and I hope to be back at full duty on Monday.
