Just happened on this "How To Jailbreak Your Firestick" last night and checked it out today. I followed all the instructions and loaded Kodi and BAM, I had access to gazillions of movies and shows. As I can best ascertain, it's much like "The Box" that a few of our learned colleagues here talk about, but much cheaper in that a basic Firestick can be had for $40.
It's a bit complicated, I'd rate it as a "Nerd In Training" Difficulty Level, which means you've bought a pocket protector, but haven't used one yet...

Only loaded the Movie Add On and haven't done much exploring yet, but a quick scan showed a horribly made musical movie based on a T. S. Eliot poem, two current movies starring an ex of Jenifer Aniston, every movie from "Far, far away", and Mel Brooks movies. Have yet to load the TV show add on, but it's on the "To Do" list, then the PPV add on, etc...

That's OK Larry. No offense, but based on your history of computer question posts, I'm thinking you'd have a difficult time with this. It's for those of us that like a silicon-based challenge. The Jet Box would be more appropriate for those of us who need plug and play functionality...
