Block Island results after construction:
  • Black sea bass catches increased over 1,200% within the wind farm
  • Winter flounder showed 10-fold increases in blue mussel consumption (eating off the turbines)
  • Structure-oriented species thrived
This is part of an article on wind farming effects on fisheries. you can find the entire piece here.

Can anyone confirm these changes? I'm thinking that @captmike28 should have something on this ๐Ÿ™‚

Maybe the wind farm attracted all the fish and sucked them all in and thats why there are very few 16-1/2โ€ anywhere else???? ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

How did they quantify those results?

How do you observe a winter flounder consuming 5x amount of blue mussels?

Was this study done by an outside, non-biased entity or the windfarm company themselves?

Just more windfarm propaganda!

Sure is.

They're delaying the inevitable which is nuclear energy.

Windmills cannot support the demand for electricity that is expected over the next 10 years

Not to mention the electrical grid in this country needs a complete overhaul that will take years.
