Watching Tropical Storm Henri. Models have it trending closer to Long Island. Looking at possible impacts this weekend. See how this plays out.

Its going to keep changing the cone of uncertainty

Two of three models have have it hanging a hard starboard hook off Cape Cod. Only the Brits have it going straight up the coast, even hitting Maine, so the combined path has the LI involvement. I'm not sweating yet...

I don't go by the models at all. Its basically a wait and see forecast for any storm at this point.

I don't like this setup at all. Full moon on sunday. Could be looking at severe coastal flooding at times of high tide for 3 or 4 tide cycles

Anyone that lives near the coast should be ready to evacuate

I live 1/4 mile from the bay and stayed high and dry for Sandy so I'm not going anywhere8-)
The trailer however is on standby in case I decide to pull the boat at high tide tomorrow
I note this from the discussion narrative on the NHC site:
Key Messages:
**1. Henri is forecast to be near the northeast coast of the U.S.
on Sunday and Monday, and the risks of storm surge, wind, and rain
impacts in portions of southern New England and eastern Long Island
are increasing. Watches will likely be required for portions of
this area on Friday. **
