Would the outside outlets on my front porch & rear deck be wired through a ground fault somewhere? Was trimming the bushes in the front with an electric trimmer & naturally cut the extension cord. Front outlet & the outlet on the rear deck are now dead, all the breakers are good in the main panel & those are the only two outlets that are dead.

Our deck outlet doesn't have a GFI reset on it, but it can trip and is reset by pushing the reset on a GFI next to our fuse box in the basement.

Not sure which breaker is wired to those two outlets, everything else in the house is good. Sounds like a job for tomorrow.

GFIs are often daisy chained with other outlets so if one is shot, ANY outlet after that is dead.

Check the reset on the other outlets, it’s happened to me many times

Bingo! GFI next to the main panel in the basement. Once again we are free to fully support PSE&G & use all the electricity we can. Thaks to all for the response.
