To honor Mel's 100th Birthday, we watched History of the World Pt 1 because Avenger Jr is invested in classic films, among other things.
It was as I expected, but a little overrated to him. Partly because some of the gags were part of the societal culture, and basically he had heard them all before.
That's a fabulous credit to Mr. Brooks when you consider how many generations have that imprinted in their collective memory.
