Covered A Lot Of Water For A Few Fish

Decided to make the run to Montauk yesterday, called a buddy the nite before who has a pretty good handle on what is going on, he basically said have a good boat ride but you are about 3/4 days too late, headed out from Greenport regardless. Spent the better part of the flood tide & managed to scratch out one slot fish, one hit one fish. Good day for a boat ride, so decided to stop at the race on the way home. One day after the full moon the tide was running & the rip evil, three drifts, one bluefish & that's enough of that place. Have to run right past Plum Gut to get home, so what the hell make a few drifts near the end of the tide, one bass under slot. Too tired to cook, so stopped on the way home & picked up a pizza, we will have the bass tonight.
