Midcoast Maine May 15 - 25 Striper Report, been fishing but...

Long story short: I've been out at least once per day, often twice with the occasional triple, since May 15 targeting stripers, and it's been Zip-A-Dee-Do-Dah!! Not a single hookup, hit, blow up on the plug or even follow. Haven't seen a bass break water, and the only Hmmmmmmm was on 5/21 with a fish coming up twice alongside my plug, but the water was too choppy to get a solid ID on it. Truly felt it had stripes, be that as it may.

Of course the "Whys?" have started, but the fact remains that the water has yet to solidly be at least 50°F. This morning's AM flood temp was 47°F.

While fishing this morning I had some lovely one-way conversations with a Seal and her pup, some ospreys, a mature eagle followed by an immature one, and a loon, inquiring if any of them would please direct me to some stripers. That is when I realized my life was one Loon talking to another.

Hopefully the warmer temps this week will drive the water temps up enough to entice some striped fish to come up and visit. If not, I may be consulting with @JackPrintMD regarding the purchase of golf clubs...

I think you're fish must have stalled their migration once they came out of the CC canal and hit the frigid waters of CC bay!

Should all change in a week or 2.
