So I decided to run down this morning, no one was there at 7:45am. had the whole pier to myself. tried the east side - current was rushing out and wind in my face. moved to the west side. So much better. Loaded up the Quantum baitcaster with 1oz and a pink gulp grub.....man did i have a field day with the short sea bass. bites on every cast - caught fish maybe every third or forth cast....
Getting pretty good with the baitcaster - no crazy backlashes and man does it throw far...takes a bit of tuning...but once you're dialed in - man is it fun!
